Terms of Service

Last updated: May 20, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the DocScribe mobile application (the “App”) and the related services available at hormonia.in (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by the DocScribe Team under the Hormonia brand (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By signing up or using the Service, you (“you”, “the doctor”) agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who can use DocScribe

DocScribe is intended exclusively for licensed medical professionals. By creating an account you represent and warrant that:

  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You hold a valid medical licence or equivalent qualification in your jurisdiction
  • You will use DocScribe only in the lawful practice of medicine
  • The information you provide during signup is accurate and current

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe do not meet these requirements.

2. What DocScribe is — and what it isn’t

DocScribe is a documentation assistant. It is not a clinical decision-support system or a medical device.

DocScribe records consultation audio, transcribes it using third-party speech-to-text providers, and generates structured notes using third-party AI language models. The output is a draft for your review. Specifically:

  • DocScribe does not diagnose patients
  • DocScribe does not recommend treatments
  • DocScribe does not validate the medical accuracy of its own output
  • Drug names, dosages, and instructions in the generated note may be incorrect, incomplete, or misinterpreted from the audio

You are solely responsible for reviewing every generated note, prescription, and follow-up plan before acting on it, sharing it with the patient, or storing it as a medical record. DocScribe’s output is a draft until you confirm it.

3. Your responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Obtain informed consent from each patient before recording a consultation
  • Comply with all applicable Indian laws and medical practice regulations
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • Use DocScribe only for patients you are personally treating
  • Not share, resell, or grant access to your account to other doctors or staff
  • Review every AI-generated note before relying on it for patient care

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to record anyone without their consent
  • Upload audio that is not a real consultation (test recordings during the free quota are fine)
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract our AI models or prompts
  • Use the Service in any way that violates the rights of patients or third parties
  • Use the Service to provide care across jurisdictions where you are not licensed

4. Free consultations and future paid plans

During this initial release, every account receives a free allowance of consultations per calendar month. The exact number is shown in the App. Once you exhaust the allowance, you will need to wait until the next cycle to record further consultations.

We may introduce paid plans in the future. Pricing, payment terms, refunds, and cancellation rights will be set out at that time. We will not charge you for any plan without your explicit consent.

5. Privacy

How we collect, use, store, and share information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

6. Intellectual property

The Service — including the App, our website, our trademarks, and the underlying code — is and remains our property. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service strictly in line with these Terms.

The content you enter (patient information, consultation audio, your edits to generated notes) remains yours. By uploading content you grant us the limited rights necessary to provide the Service to you — including transmitting audio to our transcription provider and transmitting transcripts to our AI provider. We do not use your content to train general-purpose AI models.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of AI-generated content, and uninterrupted availability.

Without limiting the above, we make no representation that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • AI-generated transcripts or notes will be accurate, complete, or fit for clinical use
  • Audio uploads will always succeed (network and device conditions vary)
  • Third-party services we rely on will remain available

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is capped at the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or ₹0 if you have not paid us anything in that period.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of revenue, loss of patients, loss of reputation, or any harm arising from your reliance on AI-generated content.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law (for example, liability for fraud or wilful misconduct).

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any third- party claim arising out of: (a) your use of the Service in breach of these Terms; (b) your failure to obtain patient consent; (c) your medical decisions, including those informed by AI-generated content you did not adequately review; or (d) your violation of applicable law.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by contacting support@hormonia.in. On deletion, your data is removed within 30 days as set out in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, are using the Service to harm patients or third parties, or are no longer qualified to use it. Where practical we will give you notice and an opportunity to address the issue first.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will notify you by email or through the App, and we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept them.

12. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

Before starting court proceedings, you agree to first contact us at support@hormonia.in and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally.
